Reservations Agent (Canadian Airline)

Do you have a strong grasp of basic Canadian geography, sound navigation skills, and the ability to read a map? Are you an experienced traveler or travel enthusiast who’s familiar with the ins and outs of air travel? Do you have excellent problem solving skills and sound judgment?

You’ve got just the right combination of patience and understanding coupled with strong will and the ability to hold firm even when things get tough.   • Full-time, year round. Scheduled 40 hours per week.

  • Rotating shifts between 8am – 11pm, Monday through Friday and 6:30am – 9pm Saturday and Sunday.

  • Rate of pay starts at $11.00 per hour

Your major responsibilities will be:  

• Answering incoming calls on behalf of airline travelers. Resolving issues from business and leisure travelers and suppliers delivering goods to remote Northern communities.
• Empathize with customers and quickly resolve challenging situations or their problems
• Remaining calm during high pressure situations
• Provide customers with a superior service experience by listening carefully to them, and providing information/solutions to their concerns
• Accurately record information into computer software
• Responsible for completing and properly logging transactions
• Fulfilling customer expectations in ways that also comply with established policies and procedures
• Effectively learn and use the software and available resources to meet the customers’ needs

• Completing reservations for various types of flights throughout Canada.

  • Area great communicator with excellent listening skills 

  • Know the basic geography of Canada and are able to effectively read maps.

  • Can deal with upset customers while demonstrating patience and empathy

  • Have the ability to understand and apply best practices in problem resolution processes

  • Possess excellent multi-tasking skills while maintaining attention to accuracy and detail

  • Have superior customer service skills with the ability to manage customer expectations, establishing credibility and rapport with customers.

  • Have strong computer skills.

  • Possess basic mathematic and logic skills to adjust reservation airfare and fee changes.

  • Can handle confidential information in a professional manner.

  • Have a passion for resolving problems in a timely and effective manner.

  • Maintain a positive rapport in challenging situations.

  • Previous experience in an inbound contact center environment or travel agency an asset.

  • Possess a collaborative "what-ever it takes" attitude and solid work ethic.

  • Will undergo a criminal and credit record check.
