Spring has arrived. (Sort of. At least on the calendar…) And this means it’s time for our client’s customers to start booking their trips and vacations!  If your friends affectionately refer to you as their travel agent and everyone counts on you to plan their vacation agenda (spreadsheet and all) - this could be the job for you! 

Our reservation agents provide support to travelers booking trips to and from Nova Scotia, PEI, New Brunswick, and Maine using our network of ferry boats. We’re seeking friendly, efficient, travel-savvy people to accurately process reservations to visit the Atlantic Provinces and the state of Maine. We’re conducting multiple training classes to begin over the next few weeks - so act fast and apply today!

We're hiring a training class of four to begin on May 28, 2019!

Here’s the deal:

  • It’s a full-time job. You’ll be scheduled 8-hour shifts, between the hours of 8:00 am and 11:00 pm, Monday to Sunday.
  • This is a seasonal position from April to October with the possibility of extension or transfer to one of our year-round positions.
  • Starting wage rate is $13.00/hr.
  • You need to be available to attend four days of classroom (paid) training starting May 28, 2019.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide telephone and e-mail support for a broad range of customers.
  • Quickly and effectively assess and resolve challenging situations following well-defined guidelines and procedures.
  • Provide customers with a great service experience by listening carefully to them and providing information/solutions to their concerns.
  • Achieve targets; booking travel on the ferries.  

What you’ll likely have:

  • Total reliability, a collaborative "what-ever it takes" attitude, and a solid work ethic.
  • Professional communication skills and the ability to support upset customers while demonstrating patience and empathy. 
  • Great problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.
  • Great customer service skills with the ability to manage customer expectations, establishing credibility and rapport with customers. 
  • Strong computer skills. Using email and the Internet are like breathing to you.
