We’re Hiring an Adult Learning Expert!

Do you want to help evolve the future of training at Blue Ocean, prepare new hires to execute their jobs confidently from day one, work with world-class training tools, and build relationships on our Blue Ocean and client teams? We’re looking for a confident, reliable people-person with top-notch communication skills who thrives on change and isn’t afraid of a challenge to join our team of Trainers.

The Trainer role is a full time, salaried position on our training team. You’ll be supported to gain the knowledge and comfort you need to deliver exceptional training experiences to a range of programs on our roster. And when you’re not delivering training, you’ll be behind the scenes developing content, analyzing training results, and fine-tuning our training programs so our agents are prepared to deliver exceptional service on every interaction.

Here’s the Deal

  • This is a full time, salaried role with option for RSP matching, family health benefits, and paid vacation
  • Hours can vary according to training class needs, but are primarily Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • You will support one of our tech programs to begin with – no specific tech expertise is required, but an aptitude for picking up new skills is an asset

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with Recruitment and Program teams to create an exceptional employee experience from the first day of training through the transition to the production environment
  • Facilitate successful learning for both in-house and remote training classes through adoption of and adherence to training best practices, tools, and processes
  • Continually assess alignment of training content, delivery, and support with program needs by regularly engaging with Program team and client to gain insight into key priorities and challenges
  • Collaborate with Program team to identify performance trends and make training recommendations where appropriate

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to adapt your communication to audience needs
  • Comfortable working with new programs and technology – you don’t need to be a tech whiz, but you’ve got to be ok with the unknown and be capable of troubleshooting and helping agents troubleshoot, too!
  • Ability to thrive and deliver in a fast-paced environment and adjust to frequent change
  • Competence and comfort with all aspects of remote training: platforms, facilitation, and creating a great learner experience

Please apply online with a cover letter and resume in one document by 9:00 am on Friday, January 22, 2021. We will be reviewing applications as they are submitted and will contact those who we would like to move forward in the hiring process.
