We’re looking for someone with a solid baseline of experience in enterprise-level systems admin who’s ready to put their skill to work maintaining our technical infrastructure and implementing improvements to drive next-level service delivery to our clients.


As Systems Administrator, you’ll work directly with our Senior Manager of Information Technology to recommend, develop, and implement technical solutions in a wide range of systems. As an outsourcer, our clients come to us with diverse suites of technologies to be integrated with our environment, presenting unique challenges and the opportunity to work with a number of cutting-edge tools.


We’re looking for someone who is confident bringing forward solutions and ideas and who isn’t afraid to think outside of the box. You’ll need to be forward-looking and proactive to anticipate challenges with the communication skills to effectively express your recommendations. You’ll need a collaborative attitude and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders across the business.

Here’s The Deal

  • This is a full-time salaried position with paid vacation, option for RRSP contribution plan, and health benefits package
  • This position can be remote work-from-home or office-based at our headquarters in Halifax, Nova Scotia
  • We have a free employee and family assistance program for legal, financial, and health support
  • On call rotation is required (2 consecutive weeks on call every 10 weeks)

What You’ll Do

  • Ongoing monitoring and maintenance of system performance
  • Drive innovation in our push to be a Cloud-first company
  • Mentor existing staff on cloud computing best practices and technology to drive cloud adoption.
  • Be a force for continual improvement by developing high level understanding of our tools, systems, and environment and play a leadership role in enhancing service delivery, efficiency, security, etc.
  • Develop, maintain Private cloud infrastructure (Cisco UCS + SAN infrastructure)
  • Perform installation, configuration and maintenance of software including operating system, patches, and 3rd party products.
  • Act as tier-3 level support for tickets escalated by internal IT team

What You’ll Need to Succeed


Experience + Hard Skills

  • Solid practical experience in Office 365 (with an understanding of Hybrid Exchange environments) and Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
  • Experience in an system administrator position in an enterprise environment
  • Experience working with server operating systems including Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, and DNS
  • Experience in voice platforms and/or contact centre environments – an asset, not required

Soft Skills

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects with shifting priorities
  • Self-starter with a dedication to continual improvement
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills with proactive approach to customer service
  • Strong independent work ethic

Relevant Certifications - have or actively working toward

  • Microsoft 365 Identity and Services
  • Citrix Certification(s)
  • ITIL V3. Foundation
